Don's Story
I live in Southern Calif. Had shoulder surgery on my left side, and was retired by the work board. So! Ive been going fishing alot, and had just come home from fishing in Northern Calif. Up around Susanville and went into Oregon, to fish and see some old friends. I got the diamond tread bed put on my 1970 Ford flatbed, which really looks sharp. Have been spending time with my other truck as well, a 1948 Ford F1, which has been chopped 6 1/2 inches and the flatbed frame has been shortened by 10 inches. Its been lowered...Expand for more
to about 4 inches of the ground in front and is standard height in back.
I always wanted to be a cowboy when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a stuid idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. It was the best job in the world. Where else can you go to work, and sit on a horse all day long, and get paid for it. I rodeoed off and on for the fun of it at times. I was also the rodeo coach at Lassen CC. Made some money, broke some bones, and alot of pain when it came to recovering. But! I really did enjoy it...
