Don's Story
Greetings, I was raised in Talladega, county, Alabama in a small community north of Childersburg called Laniers. A rural area where I worked on farms while growing up. State hwy 235 from 280 past the ole paper mill on the way to Logan Martin Lake. Many mornings, I would milk a cow and feed approximately 200 head of cattle before I went to school. That's why some of you smelled somthing when we were leaning our foot against the steam heater at C'burg high! I had 5 brothers and sisters and because we were so poor, I was ask to be adopted and move to Nashville, Tn. "where I spent part of a summer", and prepare for vet school at Auburn, but I loved my parents and decided to stay with them. I was raised in the Churches of Christ but have since came out of organized religion and remain free in Christ. I am a Patriot and want to help restore our nation back to the original constitution, so help me God. I attended Alexander City Jr. college for 2 yrs. Associate degree from Gadsden State. 1 yr. ar Heritage Christian University in Florence, Al. Police Academy at University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. I married and had 3 children. Scripturally divorced. I raised my children (had custody) as a single parent by the grace of...Expand for more
God. I followed construction for about 10 years as a carpenter. I started working with the State of Alabama in the Dept. of Corrections mostly working with the Engineering Section. Transfered to the Dept. of Youth Services for a while and then transfered to the Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources, Marine Police Div. and patrolled mostly Logan Martin Lake from 1986 to 2005. Conservation Dept. was very morally corrupt from the top down and I did my best to help get rid of the corruption! Spent 12 years as Supply Sergeant in the Army National Guard. I am now retired. I spend most of my time on the internet working with other patriots who keep their oaths and trying to restore this nation to it's Christian foundation . I am an active member of the Talladega County Republican Party. I spend a lot of time at my lake home, gardening, and helping others when I have opportunity.
Whether working, retired, on welfare, rich or poor, afar off or very near, we who claim to be Christian, should have at least two things in common, love our Creator with all our hearts and treat others as we would want to be treated. (Mathew 22:36-40) As the country singer, Charlie Daniels would say: "let's all make the day count".
