Don's Story
Life
I attended all the schools in Belfast except for High School. I Left Belfast in 1976 and moved to Newberg, Oregon. That same year moved to Dayton, Oregon were I attended Dayton High School and graduated in 1979 in Military Uniform. Joined the Oregon Army National Guard in fall of 1978 and left in 1990 Rank E-5. I've been back to Maine to visit 4 times since I left. (3 Times to visit Family and travel around and 1 time for Dad's funeral.) I worked in Electronic's in the Military and civilian from 1978 to 1999. Now I work as a service tech in home repair and improvements since late 1999 to present. Currently I am starting up a powder coating, electroplating and parts cleaning company (Automotive). I enjoy riding Harley's, camping and working on my 8 car's. I've been married since 1987 and have 2 girl's. The oldest is 22 and the youngest is 18. I own a home in Newberg, Oregon and really enjoy the area. The Valley were I live has started to become the next Napa Valley and their are alot of vineyards here that produce some of the finest wine's I know of without compare. As far as a crush in JR. High School I'd have to say it was Debra French. I still think of her from time to time and wonder what happened. My High School crush was Wanda B. But don't miss her a bit! Teachers that inspired me well lets see! On the East Coast It was Mr. Frank Wareham in music. On the West Coast It would be hands down Tim Duerefelt Who inspired me to write more often and speak my mind. If I had to do it all over again I would in a heart beat. Best memories of school? In Maine it was the field trip we took to Ft. Knox up by Elsworth, and playing spin the bottle and Having to kiss Debbie for the first time out behind the school. West Coast would have to be Graduating in Military Uniform and the Senior Party afterwards! Can't list the craziest due to content but those who were there know and that's good enough for me! I'm still keeping secret's that I made promisses not to tell a soul! (There in my journal's!)
