More about Don:"Navy Veteran, 1970-74 (HM2 when all the fallout from Nixon's promotion freeze was over.) I went to boot camp and Hospital Corps School in San Diego, then spent the rest of the 4 years at the Oakland Naval Hospital. Great duty. I never made it to the big time as a musician, but I've done a lot of other things no one (including me) ever expected me to do. And for what it's worth, I'm still the best tenor no one's ever heard of.".
