After Towson High School, I attended the University of Maryland and graduated in 4 1/2 years in January 1971. Joined the Marine Corps and stayed 20 years, retiring in 1991. During that time, I met my bride and we were married in 1975 in Barstow, CA...it has been 41 years. After retirement, I started a small photography business, but supplemented my income by substitute teaching. I also took the courses to get a Virginia Teaching Certificate in Mathematics. For 13 years, I taught High School Level Math Courses in Middle School (8th Grade)...I taught Algebra I and Geometry. Funny...I failed Algebra I my first time at THS! I took a partial retirement from teaching so I am a "triple dipper": Military pension, School Pension and Social Security. I have two children; although one has decided to abandon the family and she, with my first Granddaughter, live in Idaho.
