Don's Story
Since leaving Jackson in 1967, I spent 27+ years in the Navy. After retiring in early 1994, I worked as an civilian contractor for the Naval In-service Electronics Activity doing projects worldwide for the Pentagon for nearly two years. Moved to Florida in late 95 and kept my residence there(Dunedin) until this year. My second career was managing the development of cellular networks for many of the carriers including AT&T, Sprint, Nextel, US Cellular and Cricket in many locations throughout the nation. i retired from this second career on Labor Day of 2014 and have been back in Brooklyn, MI since. r-tending at the Brooklyn Moose. While in the Navy and as an civilian contractor, I traveled to 79 countries and have been in all 50 states. I did three tours in Nam in the early part of my career.
I played Fast-Pitch Softball in the Navy and was three times selected to the All-Navy Team participating in the All Navy Worldwide Tournaments in the early 70s . I also played two years in the short lived American Professional Softball League.
My girlfriend and I have been together for 9 years with no plans for marriage. Both had three..
