Life
Hmmmm... I feel like high school was three lifetimes ago.
I have been happily married for 40 years to a beauty. Donna and I have a 39 year-old daughter who teaches in South Carolina and is a super-mom, and a 33 year-old son who is married and is a father himself. I feel incredibly blessed... proof positive that God is gracious, even with high school screw-ups like me!
Let's see... The quick bio... Went to Old Dominion straight out of high school, flunked out :), became a Christian, went back a year later, did well. Graduated with a Psych degree, married way over my head, and eventually went to Coast Guard Officer Candidate School... That was a great move!
We've been all over the place and I retired about 16 years ago. Let's see... I went back...Expand for more
to school and got my Ph.D. and now I am a professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
I love what I do and the people I do it with. I feel like I am part of something that matters, and that I was made for it.
Okay, on a very trivial note, some of you old classmates may remember that I am a bit of a sailing nut... (Some of you got in trouble with me for skipping classes to go sailing!) several summers ago my son and I were looking at eBay and found my Dad's old boat. It was for sale in Annapolis. I bought it, sold my newer boat, and have been fixing it up. It feels a little bit like I am back in high school... skipping things to go sailing. Cool, huh?
