Dona's Story
Life
I have lived in Idaho for the last 32 years. I have been employed with the court system for the last 30 years and enjoy everyday of it. I work closely with the judges, the prosecutors and law enforcement and there is never a dull moment. I have created a Veterans Treatment Court in my judicial district and we currently have 6 participants with 4 more coming into the program. I am the coordinator and work very closely with the judge and the treatment team. I have been married for 29 years and have two children ages 25 and 21. his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and hopes to get into law enforcement. It doesn't seem possible that I am that old, so I continue to lie about my age. I serve on the board for the local Domestic Violence Shelter and I am very involved with in the Developmentally Disabled community. The governor appointed me to the State of Idaho Developmentally Disabled Council 8 years ago and it has been a learning experience as well as one that I can use to advocate for my brother, whom I am the guardian of. I have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice administration and i managed to get a job in the court system.
