Donald's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met my third wife when I went to the go-cart races in Portland, Oregon. I had been racing a road race 250cc ninja and had decided to give up racing the motorcycles and take up cart racing. I ended up with a third wife and never got to race go-carts. The road race motorcycle is 14 years old now and has 2300 miles on it and sits in my garage begging me to ride it again. My third wife to be was sitting in the grandstand and I happened to sit near her by accident. Her father was the race director for the go-cart club and she had gone to see the races.
My Pets
Well the dog is a black Lab female who is addicted to playing with a white T-ball. She will go and get one of your tennis shoes and bring it in her mouth to let you know it's time to put them on and play. She catches like a pro and races after the grounders in our huge back yard. (we live on 2 1/2 acres) The horse is a gelding son of a champion Arabian racehorse. We bought him at age 4 when they decided not to race him. He's 13 now and still young and healthy.
My Job
My employer...Expand for more
builds oil well off-shore drilling equipment and well drilling tools. These tools go down oil wells as deep a 5 miles down. I work in the developement and assembly of new products and also travel to off-shore rigs to take part in testing of these products as a technician skilled in repair and assembly. I also make electronic test equipment and do all kinds of machining of special parts on the lathe and milling machine to develope and test new equipment. In January of 2001 I was in Lafayette, Louisiana to learn off-shore water survival skills like escaping from an upside down helicopter that is sinking into the ocean after it is under water and filled with water. Now 2006 I'm back to driving big rigs. I drive a diesel truck pulling a trailer with 11 high pressure tanks hauling helium gas at 2800 psi. I'm on the road 5 days a week driving in Tennessee, north and south Carolina, Georgia and Virginia, sometimes Florida and sometimes over to New Orleans. I live in Surgoinsville, TN now after escaping from the California desert at Hesperia in the summer of 2004.
