Donald's Story

Life After graduation I went to East Texas State University on a music scholarship. Upon graduation I had some great opperatunities to teach at several Texas Universities, and I began working in sound and audio production for films and recording studios in the Dallas area. You might have seen Cher in Silkwood, one of the films I had the privilage to work on. I spent several years doing sound part time and teaching at the University, then at the public school level, serving as both HS Band Director and Director of Music. Mom ("Ma Bindrim" to many of you) and Dad retired from teaching and moved to Tennessee. Completeing my MS in School Admin, I permanently moved to assit them with their new line of work ...Expand for more
- farming. After 12 years in the public school system and 6 at the University level, I left teaching and opened a successful Music Retail business and small Educational Consulting firm. Mom does all the accounting for all our companies, including MouseWorks, a photo restoration and printing company my brother Chris started with Dad ("Pa" to many of you). We are all quite busy! I still play trumpet in both a band and small local orchestra. I clinic at schools and teach privately. My travel from state to state and dedication to education, and now my business, has left me single. I look forward to finding someone to settle down with soon, and eventually enjoy a healthy, happy retirement as my parents have.
