Donald's Story
My story?
It's kind of long and varied -- full of pleasure & pain, love & marriage, sadness & joy, want & satisfaction, flush & bust times, music and silence, opportunities and lack, homelessness to home ownership, and even boring at times, but I wouldn't trade a minute of it; It has made me who I am today, and I really like this guy!
2022 edit: So far I've survived the pandemic without issue. I'm a regular USAF veteran (Vietnam Era 1974-1982), all my 5 children are grown and doing well. My wife Pamela (Miller - from Marin county CA) is in a nursing home with dementia since 2015, but she is doing really well. I still play guitar and bass, and I hope to join another 'geezer band' (lol) as soon as I am able to again. I am currently fighting off stage 4 renal cancer,...Expand for more
and my tumor is shrinking, so I'm winning thus far. I now share expenses with an old friend Donna Raylene (Sackrider) Barger from RSHS 72 after her husband passed in 2015.
Most of my career has been in electronics/computer repair and support, These days I do guitar repair and upgrades when I can, and have a YouTube channel with a few posts on it, the channel name is Majik53, if anyone is interested. Same handle on Twitter. My FB has my real name, but my avatar is Mr Rogers. I've been an advocate for medical marijuana, and was part of the team of patients who got Arizona to pass its law in 2010. My dad was the volunteer fire chief of Belton back in the 60s, he passed in 2006.
I'm still sucking air, so I guess I'm still alive. Cheers and best of luck to all of you.
