Donald's Story

Life Education: Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering For the past five years, living and working in So Florida, for a major yacht manufacturer, Bertram Yacht, Miami Oh ya, Married to the same "girl" for 36+ years, father of five, four girls, one boy, all grown. Four older ones married, some with children of their own. The 20 year old still home and in nursing school. Did I mention three grand children, god, I am too young for this! I still have a strong belief in the creator and his solution for the troubled times we live in. Best regards, Don F 5-24-08, time passes on! Since the last up-date, youngest now married and practicing nursing (RN) in So. Carolina and my wife and I have celebrated our 40th wedding anniverary. We still live in Southern Florida and loving it. My only "boy" is working in the boating industry (sales administration) and lives near by. And, yes, faith is still a strong motivation. Does anyone read this stuff??? Regards, Don F 10-2-08; Finally found a photo that is worth posting, at (64) years old not too many good photos left. This one is from a recent trip (business) to Sidney Au. Don F 11-30-08; I added a few more photos; one of my wife and I in the early 70ies. WOW, I have changed, Mary Ann on the otherhand looks pretty much the same. Don F 8-24-09; Life goes on, I heard a few months ago that two boyhood friends are no longer among us (Jack ...Expand for more
M and Ronnie R). Oh the mischief and fun we had! Jack, I will long remember the laughter and how it was reflected in your eyes. Ronnie, you were so sure of yourself that you made the rest of us confident and yet unsteady at the same time. You are missed Read God's word, it contains the only hope! Don F 6-15-10: I am now collecting full SS! Can you believe it?? For sure, I never thought I would reach the age where I was considered the old man in the group. At a much younger age (mid-thirties) and when my father was still alive, I called him "old man". I know now that saying that to him was just wrong. However, he just looked at me reflectively and said "Son, behind these eyes is still a 19 year old boy". He was in his early seventies at the time. I guess life goes by so fast that none of us can believe we have reached the point in life where we are now considered the older ones. I 'm making myself sick writing about this!! I hope that no one calls me "old man", for sure I will be upset Don 9-9-2014 Well its been a while since I wrote so here we go. A lot has changed, we moved to central Florida to Merritt Island, beautiful place with lots of water. It is near the Space Center so we hear and see and feel all the launches. Good fishing with plenty of golf coarses. And we, Mary Ann and I are both retired. Seth (only boy) between four girls lives near by. Don
