Life
I remarried in August 1996 to the most wonderful lady in the world (Lynn) We share two Canadian children and two American children. We have one at McMaster and one now teaching on the Canadian side of the border and two married children in the USA, one in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and one in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Hard to believe that in my mid 40's we have three grandchildren, one five and one 21 months and a new one three weeks!
I left Dofasco in 1993 after 20 years and went to work for Tetra Pak (packaging company) in Aurora Ontario as their Director of Human Resources and Admin. They closed their Canadian operations and I moved in mid 1997 to Littleton Colorado to finally reside with my new bride (long story involving plant closure timelines,long distance marriage, immigration for Lynn to move to Canada or me to USA etc.). y on arrival in Littleton as VP Human Resources and Legal, which was the largest mistake of my career. The owner had a real ethics problem and did business in a rather unprofessional manner. Needless to say less than a year from my start I quit and started my own Executive Recruiting company. Built it for two years and sold it and went to work for an international chemical/explosives company (Orica-formerly CIL in Canada and ICI in the US and South America). Am Vice President of Human Resources and Admin. for Canada, USA, Mexico and South America).
Lynn and I get back to Canada fairly often to visit the kids, parents and siblings and some friends that I keep in touch with (some from Sherwood).
I enjoy golf, hockey, hiking, boating (when I get back to where there is water-certainly not much in Colorado) and just hanging out with friends.
Life doesn't get much better than this!
