Donald's Story
Long story, went to College of Southern Utah with Spud and Steve Hardy, then Sacramento State with Joyce, graduated in 70. Joyce and I got married and had two girls divorced later, 5 Grandkids,1Great Granddaughter. Re married, that didn't work after many years. Tried a different relationship, that worked long time, but he died. Now brand new one and is happy one.
Started work career with Monkey Ward's, then Sears, then back to Boron and Hubbard's Mercantile. Tried a brief stint with Borax and ended up with Yellow Freight Systems. Eventually ended up as Senior Operations Manager at the terminal in Ventura CA until I retired in 2009. W...Expand for more
orked briefly for Monarch Grand Vacations and then really retired.
I took a vacation to the Big Island Hawaii, discovered I could live in the Puna District South oof Hilo, cheaper than Ventura. Made an offer on a home, flew home and started packing. I now live on a private acre about two miles from the coast in Kea'au. Totally love it with no plans to return to the mainland, unless to change planes! Life is good, partner and I working on becoming mostly self sustaing,solar power, rain water, no gas, sewer, cell phone. Gardens, tilapia pond, chickens, goat and sea food close by. Farmers market just down street. Truly life in Paradise.
