Don's Story
On June 7, 2005, my first grandchild was born, Riley Gram Oldt. Unusual middle name you say. Well here is the story behind the name, so eloquently explained by my youngest son, Dan.
Marge Ethel Oldt
To me, you symbolize everything that is right in this world. Years ago, you made a vow to love and stand by your partner¿s side. Not only are you fulfilling this vow, but from my vantage point, your love for each other continues to grow unabated. The love that you and grandpa show for each other, as well as, the respect you both have for your relationship set the foundation for this family and will be used as a recipe for Greg, Kiana and myself to emulate.

e you look at it, you are my role model.
Thank you for always putting your family first and although we could stay and talk at your house for hours on end, you always kick us out the door so we can get home safely before night fall. Thank you for your lack of selfishness, it has never gone unnoticed.
You show us that a life is not defined by what life hands you but rather what you make out of it. This is the space where I should talk about your disability, only I never witnessed a disability. They say a disability makes one unable to perform. Yet, you were always able to perform and share in the family experiences and events with positive enthusiasm.
In good times and in bad times, thank you for always being there to listen and to offer sound advice. During good Dodger games and bad Dodger games, thank you for always being my Dodger buddy. Thank you for being my grandma and my friend.
For all these reasons, and many more which I cannot articulate, we would like to cement our reverence by naming Riley Gram Oldt in your honor with the hopes that some of your magic will rub off, bless him and guide him to make positive choices throughout his life.
