Donald's Story
Life
Before I joined the Navy in May 78, I had long blond hair and glasses. Was one of the HS football managers. Took physics class, Algerbra II, member of the Key Club, rode a motorcycle to school, and got caught coming back from McD's with Tom Smiddy, which cost us both four days spension, LOL!!! We had some fun times at the Boy Club those four days. I dated Karen Mitchell before the Navy and still keep in touch with her, along with Judy Autherton, and Preston Tackett(Mr. Fire Chief or Capt.) I use to live on Vine St. from 1972 until 78. I even threw a paper route around the parkhill area. Went to Ridgeroad, and Central back when they bused us then in the seventh grade I think. Use to sit behind Greg Beaver, cause the Teacher use to call out Beaver then Berger and people would sniker. I still remember last class reunion, when we down at that restraunt where Tracks Inn, Amtrack and Slick Willy's use to be. I even use to work at Tracks Inn at one time, washing dishes. Now my nep...Expand for more
hew works as a bartender at Steak and Ale on Pershing Rd. I think. I can remember going to the Park Hill pool for a couple of summers. Back when McCain Mall was being built. Long before all the rest of that area was even thought of. We use to have a big rival with NorthEast HS and even stole their mascot. I think it was a goat. LOL!!! Those were the good ole days when we use to go up on top of the hill that over looked the school and drink. Or go out to Burns park and get lost in the woods. Wow...my story has been hidden all this time....I never realize I was not suppose to put my email on this thing. oops!
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a fantastic idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
Now I beleive I am a professional student and everyday is a learning experience. So my philosopy in life is, the more you know, the more you realize you dont know. Every question can lead to ahundred or more questions. Aint life grand!
