Donald Luttermoser:  

Life After graduating from Kennedy, I obtained a B.S. in 1981 at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) with a double major in Astronomy & Physics. I obtained an M.A. in Physics from Wayne State in 1983, an M.A. in Astronomy from Indiana University in 1985, and a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from IU in 1988. After getting my doctorate, I obtained postdocs at University of Colorado (1988-1990) and Iowa State University (1990-1993). Following this, I worked at NASA/Goddard in Maryland (1993-1996). I have been at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) since the summer of 1996. I received tenure as a professor in the Dept. of Physics, Astronomy, & Geology at ETSU in 2002 and was made Department Chair in the summer of 2006. I have never been married and have no kids. I have traveled extensively -- all over the USA, Denmark, Norway, Italy, and Turkey, where I had two drumsticks. I have been living in apartments most of my life, but finally got around to buying my own house in 2004. Over the past few years I have really gotten into high-resolution music (SACDs and DVD-Audios) and high-definition TV with my home theater that I have built in my rec room. I have a fairly good audio system in both my living room and home theater with universal DVD players and 7.1 surround sound receivers. As a result of this, I seldomly go to theaters anymore.
