Don's Story
Life
Vanity, vanity, all is vanity. Regardless, here's the vanity.
1972-75 My life was on hold while I learned how to do real stupid stuff.
1976-1983 Always working or studying in college.
1983-1984 Lived in the Philippines and learned to speak Tagalog fluently.
1985-1987 Completed my Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of WA after having studied Mandarin, Tagalog, French & Spanish. I paid my expenses for college with the help of my taxi driving job.
1988 Got married - I am a mail order groom.
1989 Started an insurance agency and promoted it on the radio as "That 2557799 Guy."
1998 sold my insurance agency and moved to the Philippines. Continued work on my novel "Prince of Sumba, Husband to Many Wives." Had my vasectomy reversed so that I could have lots of kids. Is there a relationship between this and my novel? Ask away.
1999 built a home in the Philippines.
Mourned the death of my mother.
Celebrated the birth of my first son.
Celebrated the birth of my second son.
Mourned the death of my father.
Moved to Arizona.

I've started a publishing company now and will have close to a dozen titles published by year end so that's a little over one a month.
College
I finished the first 2 years of college in 17 months. I took time off to go to the Philippines for two months, work on Reagan's campaign for the presidency, to go to the Philippines again for a year, to learn to sell, and to drive taxi for the 7 longest years of my life. I went back to college at age 31 and graduated from the University of Washington at age 33 during which time I continued to drive taxi. A year an a half after graduating from the University of Washington I left my taxi driving job and began my sales career. That was 1988. I used to have ZERO pity for those without a job. I drove taxi and they can too but Obama is a marxist who is out to destroy this country. Many of those losing jobs right now are losing them because Obama wants them to lose their jobs and become fully dependent on his growing marxist government.
