Donald's Story
Life
I realized immediately college, right after completing high school, wasn't such a good plan. I quit and joined the military. During a 5 year stint in the Navy, I went back to school on the navy's dime and got an engineering degree. ( I guess school has a different appeal when it's your own idea) After the military I moved to Florida for a job installing and servicing MRI and Cat Scanners. I met my current wife at one of the hospitals. That was the only good thing which came from that degree. I took up scuba diving for fun. For several years, our life centered around that activity. I achieved my rescue certification, dive mastered for awhile and for fun, my photography hobby went underwater. My success at underwater photography got noticed by a local commercial photographer. hang up the engineering gig and start a new path as a studio manager/catalog shooter for a prominate commercial photo studio. I opened my own commercial studio in 1992. The specialty for my studio was photographing resorts in the Caribbean. Along the way, I was able to combine my love for cars and motorcycles with my photography (remember that goofy Mustang with all that fur inside, trends of the times are so bizarre). I now shoot for some of the most popular auto/motorcycle publications in the nation. Shooting an occasional resort and a magazine fashion gig now and then rounds it all out. That's it in a nut shell.
