Donald's Story
I left Hillsboro after my sophomore year but still call it my home school.
After graduating from Midway High in Waco I went to college at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK, left and began my career with Continental Telephone (CONTEL) now Verizon. I had the pleasure of visiting almost all 50 states in the USA including Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington, D.C. because of my positions with Contel. Our nation is truly magnificent, especially Oregon and Washington!
I married a fellow Hillsboro High classmate (Sharon Williams) after we were reaquainted at our 30th Reunion. We married in November, 2000.
I have one son Donnie (Jr.),still single age 30 and a daughter Heather, married age 28 from a previous marriage of 23 years.

2 on May 1, 2009. She's truly our pride and joy. Sharon and I live in McKinney, TX with our 7 year old miniature schnauzer, YogiBoo.
Sharon retired in 2003 from teaching after 29 years. I had to retire from the telecommunications field after 30 years in several levels of management due to disability (spinal cord damage/back injury) sustained during a motorcycle wreck in Whitney in 1975.
We are very happy, attend Rhea's Mill Baptist Church in McKinney, and try to travel as much as time and money will allow.
I used to sing with a Bluegrass/Gospel group, but had to quit due to my back. I still solo at least bi-monthly if not more at our church.
Our ultimate dream is to become fulltime snowbird RV'ers in about 7-8 years after our home is paid for.
Right now we just thank the Lord for each new day and the blessings it brings.
