Donald's Story
Hi everyone,
I am still a paramedic in St. Charles County. I am married to Angie Chiodini, class of 1980, and we have 3 kids, Rachel, Adam, Hilary. My youngest Hilary is now starting Missouri State. We also now are the proud grandparents of Chloe. Rachel is finishing up her bachelor's degree and her man is looking to go into the Air Force. I figure it is time to get in touch with friends that I have lost touch with. I am on Facebook also so don't be shy look me up and say Hi!
I can't believe it has been 30 years since we last walked the halls of Oakville Sr. High. Today, I now tell my kids about those days and they think I am from another planet, especially when they look at the pictures in my yearbooks. Our fashion sense was beyond words for them. I imagine they will feel the same way when it is them sitting down with their kids and try to explain what they were thinking after 30 years. Hope everyone is safe and enjoying life. I am!
The journey into my middle life as I am going to put it was filled with lots of changes. The gray hair is creeping up the side of my head. I now have hair growing out of places that I don't need hair, the ears, nose and back! I bought the sports car, a tuner car. I had that thing out on the highway, I called it the mustang Gt killer! It was fast and could take out anything but the vette or viper. Then I got my mind back and traded it in for a convertible. It is a Crossfire and it is fun to drive. So now that I am about to turn 50 this year, NOV. 2010, I can only imagine that life will get more interesting. I have grown comfortable in my own body as it ages. I just try to work out now and eat right. That of course is hard, but I try.

Well Rachel my oldest daug...Expand for more
hter is pregnant again, Angie and I are going to have another grandchild. 50 has been good so far. I have fun, no worries about getting older. Time lets you accept it. I still work out and eat right. I met with the financial advisor and he says I can retire at 62. I can't wait to finally retire and travel. We have plans to travel and take in the sites. We have been working hard to make that happen. So when it comes I will be all ready to hang up the uniform and just wear regular clothes, drinking a cocktail. I might attempt to write a book, loved writing in school. Definitely will have time. LOL...Anyway, hope summer is good to everyone. Stay healthy and safe as you enjoy your lives.

Angie and I are getting used to the idea of being empty nesters. Adam finally moved out and got his own place. So we have turned his room into a guest room, it will need to be painted but for now, a king size bed is all it needed. We tease the kids by saying that we have a naked room now, per Failure to Launch and Terry Bradshaw. LOL...Love that movie. Anyway, that scared them all enough to know that they really don't want to come home. Rachel is ready to pop and within days should be welcoming their second child, Riley. He has been holding onto her uterus in an attempt to stay inside but as you all know gravity will prevail. We are happy for them. Hilary is getting ready to start her third year at College and is doing well with college life. She has great grades and still well rounded worker/party girl. She is working hard over the summer to pay for her Car and insurance throughout the year. Proud of all the kids. Hope that Summer of 2011 has been good to you all. Hope to hear more from anyone. Talk at ya all later.
