Donald's Story
Life
Look for me on Facebook. I went to college and spent four years in the U.S. Navy (1966-1970). I got married while in the Navy. I have three children (two still living) and two grand children. I finished college and taught high school shop for six years. I quit teaching and went into industry as a technical trainer. I changed careers and was a technical writer for 25+ years. I retired April 2008 and now live in Dahinda, IL.

adarman "A" school at Great Lakes in 1967, I received orders to the USS Askari (ARL-30) stationed in the Mekong Delta of South Vietnam (July '67 to July '68). During that year, we spent two weeks in dry dock in Singapore. When my tour in Vietnam ended, I received orders to the USS Concord (AFS-5). I was aboard that ship while it was being commissioned in San Diego and Long Beach, CA in 1968. We took the ship through the Panama Canal to our home port, Norfolk, VA. We went to Cuba twice for training and on one Med cruise. We had many great ports of call. I separated in July 1970.
