Donita's Story
Life
I can't believe it's been 20 years since we graduated! With four kids, however, there are some days I feel like I'm ten years older. Luckily, I have a wonderful husband, Kimber who helps keep things in perspective (or at the very least, helps change diapers and does laundry). Between us, we have three girls and one boy ranging in age from 2 to 10.
We live in Petaluma, California in Sonoma County aka the "wine country," about 20 miles from where Kimber grew up. He and I met in 1989 in San Francisco at an advertising agency when I started work as an intern, fresh out of college, and Kimber was already "well established" as an administrative assistant. We've come a long way since then.
With a slew of kids, we're usually "on the go" somewhere -- sports, camping, boating, etc. We refer to our house as "the pit stop." When the grandparents are in town, Kimber and I head out to...Expand for more

After many years in the advertising world, I moved onto marketing jobs at The New York Times Company, and Volvo Cars of North America. About a year and a half ago, a friend and and I co-founded a sales and marketing agency working on a diverse range of products from nonprofit fundraising to shoes. Kimber currently works for TiVo.
A very good friend of mine is an extremely inspiring and fit gal who is currently in remission from a very nasty fight with cancer. We talked each other into participating in a two-day walking event (total of 52 miles)in the Vancouver/Portland area. (For her, it's instead of running the Boston Marathon. For me, let's just say it was to kick my level of fitness up a notch). Training for that is taking up a bit of my time, but I'm enjoying the results and time with "the gals."
