Life
I married May of 1977 Wally Harper, my prom date. We were married 42 years when he went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2019. Several months after his passing, I looked for and found my first love from MacArthur HS '74, Steve Fordham, whom I married July 24, 2021 and I now live with him in Washington Iowa. Together we have six grown children (5 girls and 1 boy - ages 31-41) and 10 grandchildren - 7 boys (ages 7 -16) and 3 girls (ages 4-14).

I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. I have been retired since May 2017 after teaching 7th Reading (including the G/T students) here in Pittsburg where we live (a small town of about 4500 - home to what used to be Pilgrims Pride.) My husband Wally was medically retired for several years before his death. Steve, my current husband, is retired from the US Navy and the Railroad.
I love being retired and enjoying my grandchildren.
