Life
I returned to the U.S. in 2003 after spending most of my adult life overseas working in US embassies in Quito, New Delhi, Kigali, and Maputo. I spent five more years working in the Department of State in Washington, from which I retired in 2008. We live in Great Falls, Virginia (20 miles from Washington DC), and enjoy a cottage in Irvington, Virginia, an historic town off the Chesapeake Bay, where we spend many weekends canoeing or visiting with friends.
Together we have four kids and two grand-kids! We also have a dog and an African Grey parrot, who talks non-stop and can whistle Time is On My Side, by the Stones!
