Life
Hmmm! Where do I start? A year after graduating from RHS I went to Burkina Faso, West Africa to visit my sister who was a Peace Corps Volunteer. I loved it in Ouagadougou, and had no job to return to in the US so I got a job at the Embassy and USAID and decided to stay! Went on a 45 day excursion and stayed for 2 years before returning to Ridgewood for a visit! Played volleyball, softball and danced every weekend. It was great fun! Met very interesting people. My ex-husband came in as a volunteer in 1977 and the rest is sort of history. Got married there, and stayed in Africa for another 12/13 years. rica. Our sons were born in Ridgewood and Arizona. Lived in 3 countries in Africa; Burkina Faso, Swaziland, and Republic of Guinea. In 1992 we returned to the States to live in the Washington, DC area. My husband and I divorced in May of 2003. No great loss. Except to the kids! Now I'm selling real estate. Never got a college degree but have always been a people person, into sales. So I'm having fun! My youngest will be starting his second year at the University of Maryland! Shock!
