Donna's Story
I moved from Hazleton when I joined the Navy. That is where I met my first husband. When we both got out of the Navy we moved to Niles, MI where he grew up. We had a son and a daughter (see photo album) and I now have 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. My first husband passed away about 2 years after we divorced and I remarried my second husband, Roy in 1988. Roy and I moved to northern Michigan in the Manistee National Forest area in 1995 and we lived there until Roy passed away in 2003. I moved back to the Niles area to live closer to my children and grandchildren.
I am a bean counter (accounting) person but I have also done administrative assistant work, been the Director of a senior service ag...Expand for more
ency (meals on wheels, 5 congregate meal sites, medical transportation, home maker and home chore and RX assistance) and I have worked in the County Treasurer, County Equalization and County Health departments.
I was an avid hunter when I lived up north (bow hunting, gun hunting and muzzleloading). After Roy passed away it was just not the same without my hunting partner and the love of my life so I gave it up and passed my hunting equipment on to my grandchildren.
I love old movies and reading. Trivia is also a habit I can not break.
I love the snow much more than the summer weather so Michigan is the perfect place to live.
