I taught in public school all over Georgia for 17 years...every grade except 1st grade at some time in multiple cities throughout the State of Georgia. I left teaching in 1995 to go in business with my younger son and husband. Though we lived in Blackshear, our Corporation began in Hazlehurst, Georgia, but is now located in Blackshear, Georgia. We have an environmental laboratory, management, and consulting firm, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Our son is our field engineer and Operations Director for our Corporation. My husband is Technical Director, chemist, and microbiologist for the laboratory as well as President of the Corporation. I am General Manager with multiple management responsibilities for the Corporation, which includes completion and submission of regulatory documentation for over 50 small communities and cities and coordination of field and laboratory operations as well as environmental consultation. Our Corporation consists of 3 companies, : Altamaha Laboratories, Southeastern Environmental Services, and S & H Utilities.
