Donna's Story
Update:
My husband retired from the military in 2021. We’re now in Georgia. Retired living is good. Just started my doctorate program at NSU for Instructional Design Technology. Our daughter is in College. We were blessed to find a house and close within 26 days this past August.
Lived in Texas for about 3 1/2 years, after my husband retired we moved to Florida for 1 year. As per above the housing market was crazy there.
After Germany we PCS’d to Colorado Springs, Co (2014-2018), and, as life goes for military families another PCS and duty station took us to Texas. From Texas we moved home to Florida thinking that was our final stop, however, Georgia (home for me) is where we found a wonderful home.
Ashleigh will be 21 in January and attends college part-time. I went back school for my Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction/Educational Technology. Completed it in one year back in 2019.
I don’t really remember my classmates from High School and to be honest, I never really bonded with the other 19 students, but had to attend to graduate...Expand for more
. I didn’t hang with them. Back then school wasn’t my thing. My friends attended both East and Central High School. I attended McCormick Junior High, moved back to live with my mom In Colorado, then, back to Cheyenne. You never know what people go through in life; mine was living back and forth between my divorced parents. My dad was in the Air Force, retired in 1981. I loved HS and all of the good times that came with it,
After HS I moved to Casper, WY for three years, After that, I lived in Utah, then Colorado, Florida, Georgia, back to Florida. Then I met my husband, and the Army moved us to South Korea, Germany, we traveled to the Czech Republic, Italy, Austria and the Netherlands. Military family life. I taught elementary grades 1-5 over the years both overseas and stateside. Grew up as a military brat, lol, then became a military spouse.
Those of you who really knew me, also knew my older brother, Bill, In May of 1988, he was killed. He lived in Jacksonville, Florida at the time. Long story. He graduated from Cheyenne Central High School.
