Donna's Story
Still married...46 years! Two married daughters...4 grandsons. Met my husband when I was in 3rd grade and he was in 5th. His mother was my Sunday School teacher. Church and family are the center of our life. I was a travel agent for over 20 years. We owned a travel agency for a while. I retired in 1999 to stay home with our first grandson when our daughter went back to work. Best job I've ever had! We have been able to travel more than most. My husband is retired and we plan to travel even more. We travel with a group of friends from church and with our family. I teach cooking classes at our church and I love doing that. I think I am more outgoing now than I was in school. I remember myself as being pretty quiet. But I have been bunjy jumping in New Zealand, wind surfing in Fiji. Parasailing in Mexico, wind surfing in the Cook Isla...Expand for more
nds, climbing pyramids in central America and we went on the worlds longest zip line in Alaska, as well as jet boat riding and white water rafting. I think that might surprise some of my high school buddies. I look like a Sunday school teacher but I do like to do some crazy stuff. I never want to get to the end of my life and feel like I had an opportunity to do something and didn't because I was afraid. One of the best things I've been able to do was on a trip to Austraila and New Zealand, My husband took me to see "Madama Butterfly" at the Sydney Opera House. What a great evening! I like opera and he puts up with it, but to be able to see a performance at the Opera House was something I will never forget. Actually, I wouldn't change a thing about my life. I am with people I love, and who love me and I get to do all kinds of new things.
