Donna's Story
Life
I have had a great life so far. By 1980 I was divorced with 3 kids, Tina in high school, Teresa in Jr High and Tony in elementary school. I had to get a real job as teaching swimming at Ventura College pool was a part time job. So I became certified and licensed as a massage therapist. I expect I will be doing this till I am 70 at least. I also teach new parents to massage their babies and massage moms to be through their labor and delivery. Between 1980 and 1984 I was lucky enough to work at Scorpion Ranch, a working sheep ranch, on Santa Cruz Island in my spare time. My kids loved it out there. I took hundreds of photos and about 40 of them were used to illustrate a book written by the sheperdess, Michel Peterson several years later. here 3 -5 days a week) as they were growing up. Tina is now the Aquatic Director at Bakersfield College, Teresa is an school administrator in Sacramento and Tony is a lisenced Building Inspector with his BA in Construction Managemant from Chico State and owns his own construction company in Chico. I have 7 grandchildren. Tony and Jasmine have a boy(1). Teresa and Mike have 2 girls and a boy(13,7 1/2 and 3 months). Tina and Charlie have a boy and 2 girls(12,10 and 7 1/2). I am so blessed and proud. All of these folks are just off 99 heading north and thats what I do in my spare time...head north, and pull weeds in my yard, of course. Since the grandbabies started coming about 13 years ago, I haven't had time to work on a relationship, but I haven't given up on that. Life is good and I must not be DONE learning life lessons yet, because I am still here.
