Life
Graduated KU 1964 & Dental Assistant School 1965. Went to work for Dr. Noel in 1966 & a few years later moved to Grants Pass, Oregon. Few years more moved to Brookings, Oregon. Married Jack Ruch in 1971. I accepted Christ as my Lord & Savior in 1975. Moved to Kodiak, Alaska in 1977 & continue to live there. I was able to commercial fish with my husband several years off the coast of Oregon & tuna fish off the Oregon & California coast, worked in a cannery filleting fish in Winchester Bay, Oregon, worked as a dental assistant many years in Oregon. lity, loan secretary at a bank & currently work as a project specialist in the tech department for the school district. I have 3 step sons that came to live with us in their teens starting in 1972. They are all grown & married with families of their own now. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 & had surgery, chemotherapy & radiation & have since been in remission. My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2001 & had surgery but remained in a care facility until his death in 2002. I sing in the church choir & am currently the church treasurer. I started oil painting in 2002 & have attached some of my work.
