Donna's Story
Many of you probably remember me as a band nerd. Since high school, I married a 1975 alumni (Leo Hankins) who joined the military. We moved to Albuquerque, NM for 8 years, then to Anchorage, AK for 4 years, on to Austin for 2 and have since retired out in Tucson, AZ. During that time, I was able to build a great career in materials management and more recently was the Vice President for a major catalog company. I also managed to get a degree in between stops!
Leo & I have 2 terrific kids, Amy Lee who is now 27 and Dennis Allen who is 24. Amy married last year and has since given us our first granddaughter, Zoey who is the light of our lives. It's true about grandchildren! We also have a Golden Retriever named Dallas who just turned 14 last week.
Our travels gave us the opportunity to experience lots of great place...Expand for more
s in the US, the most favorite being Anchorage. If you have a chance, you should really visit Alaska. It's the last prestine place in the US!
Being a band nerd, I still love music (except RAP), reading good literature, sports (Go Packers!), hiking, traveling and spending time with family & friends. We have an occassion to return to San Antonio once every 2-3 years to visit Leo's family & I'm always amazed at just how big it is now. Live Oak Village was my world growing up and it's comforting to drive thru there when we're back. Same with Judson....what a change and they actually have a good football team now! In 1977, the fans came for the half-time show and left afterwards! Mr. Hare was the greatest.
That's what I've been up to for these many years......Now I'm trying to reconnect with old friends to catch up.
