I left Ketchikan to join the US Army in 1977 and what a ride it has been since then. While in the service I lived for about six months outside of Washington DC and then came to Western Washington where I have lived (most of the time) since then. Also while in the service I married and had my son, who was born in 1980. I lived for about a year in Dayton, Ohio (1982) and have had an opportunity to travel a lot throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and Germany and Turkey. I was remarried in 1999 and live in Puyallup, Washington with my husband, a retired industrial engineer from Boeing, and our 10 year old English Springer spaniel. In 1980 my only child, Matt, was born. He is now married with three little boys and a little girl and works as a corrections officer at McNeal Island State Penitentiary.
