Donna Frazee's Story
Hi....this is Donna Delegal, AKA Donna Frazee. After leaving duPont, I went to St. Vincent,s School of Nursing with a full scholardship/ living in the dorms at the hospital for 3 years,became a Registered Nurse, a Nurse recruiter, and Head Nurse of the Intensive Care Unit......also......met Al Delegal who graduated from U of F... .we have been married 46 years....have 2 sons, Tad and Hickory, and 3 daughters.........Nicole, Monique, and Latrelle......and 11 grand children (and they ARE grand)....It has been a busy life...being involved in PTA, scout leader, Sunday School teacher, Scout camp nurse, and running our family business...........rental properties (apartments, houses, and small to medium hotels)..........We still live near duPont.........lived and raised the kids in Ardlsey and on the River for about 30+ years.........3 of the kids went to U of F......one to J U, and one has a couple of degrees from UNF........they are all married to the original spouse (thank God).........and are happy caring people.
I have been selling Real Estate for the last 20 years and LOVE it.....working with our youngest son, Hickory (36 years old) We have so much fun working together......we still own a little bit of rental property(just 25 units)....Al loves working with the rentals......I also teach art classes to children....and....take care of Al who is not in the best of health..........but.........we are both "still breathing"...which is a good thing! Our kids are GREAT people......they are my greatest accomplishment.For someone who grew up without electricity (until Junior High) and running water........NEVER had HOT water.........I've come a long way.....and......got to admit......I am a little "crazy" when it comes to politics....I have protested....written letters....walked door to door....etc.....here it comes....I THINK.........therefore.......I am a Democrat. I LOVE politics! And I LOVE children!Our oldest son, TAD, is an attorney doing labor law and discrimination...he was recently named the best labor attorney in Jacksonville by U.S. News and World report.........he has his own firm........Married to Julie Geisenberg Delegal (UF) who writes for Folio Weekly and is a child advocate......active in Save Duval Schools, etc.................they have 2 children, Buddy (17 yrs) and Maia (15 yrs) who are at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts ( Buddy has a wonderful Bass voice and Maia plays Violin...both are honor students).......their youngest, Carter is at La Villa (12 yrs) He plays string instruments, writes , and he really a talented actor for a 6th grader....he also plays basketball and football...and makes straight A's.
Nicole (UF) was an English major..........so......she married Steve Brady, a Yankee, who is the partner for Florida for some big Insurance Defense firm...he is a good guy.....but...a "stuffy" attorney-type" person...they live in Windermere, Fl..........2 sons......Alex (15yrs) plays several reed instruments...and Matthew (13yrs) plays trumpet...they both play i...Expand for more
n a jazz band and in the Orlando Jr sym....and both should get their Eagle badges in Scouts in the next few months.,,they are also honor students. Nicole is the constant volunteer for everything.....she is a scout leader/ a real organizer....5'2" , petite, and she wears this horrible boy scout uniform....she and Steve served in Germany for about 4 years when Steve was a diplomat and she received the position as a " hunter" in Germany and she did English riding when they were in Washington D.C. ( all of that before children)Nicole worked for a "think tank" in D.C. and an attorney's office in Germany as a proof reader....etc.
Monique is married to David Miller (CEO of Brightway Insurance) Monique went to JU as a Voice major/ education major. She was a fantastic teacher, but now has Joshua (13 yrs) who plays piano, football, basketball, and gives his mom a "run for her money".......Leah is 10 and a student at Hendricks Ave. Elem. He is a "natural" when it comes to ballet and gymnastics.....extremely graceful.....really quite unbeliveable..Monique is a great cook...she asked for a stainless steel pressure cooker for her college graduation present..no joke!...Latrelle(UNF) graduated with an english literature degree and a masters in education.......she is a wonderful teacher, a vegetarian and......mother of Bobby (6yrs) who is at Neptune Beach Elem and in gifted classes...Latrelle is married to Bob Morris (JU) who was a finance major....owns Great Atlantic Outfitters......and is a super person.......he fishes in tournaments...for redfish, flounder, and some other kind of fish........he is such a nice person.....I really love all the kids' spouses.........Hickory (UF) is married to another Yankee (NY) who went to UF...........Shannon and Hickory met in college...Hickory majored in political science....Shannon is a CPA...she works at the PGA tour...AND she was the top student at UF ..........she is amazing....she loves to have big parties....and she is a wonderful Mom........3 children ...Sterling (6yrs) a student at St. Paul's in Jacksonville Beach, Sheridan (3yrs) is a DOLL, and Sutton (6 mos.) They live in Selva Marina in Atlantic Beach......a wonderful family....the 2 older kids can snow ski, they swin like fish ( Sterling is on the swim team and the cross country team at the club and at school)..........needless to say.........I am very proud of all of the kids..........they are good people. Hickory knows more about real estate than any other realtor I know, he also surfs and plays a good game of golf......he is a great "people person". He was also born with diabetes.........that is one reason I left nursing.....it was a little tough when he was an infant.........and.....growing up........well...hope this was not TOO boring.........perhaps some of you know some of our family.......it is such a small world........looking forward to seeing you all in May........and ......I promise to LISTEN...........and will not go on and on about how wonderful God has treated me.................Donna
