Donna's Story
I was very,very shy in High School & college. Although I have been divorce for 15 years and prayed to die for several, God gave me the butterfly. I now raise butterflies and share God's love through them. I am the founder and executive director of Aunt Donna's Butterfly Garden, Inc. Although my mission statement is to study & preserve butterflies, it was my desire to share God's love through the butterfly. So now I am also known as the Butterfly Missionary. I now lead a very busy life, for example, marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade with the largest band there. I completed a mission trip through
Moody Bible Inst. to Cottonwood, AZ in June. Also would like to take my live
Butterfly exhibit to David Wilkerson's church in New York City next year and then apply to enter Aunt Donna's Butterfly Garden in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and have the inner city children wear butterfly wings and march with me. nd then report back to the Regis and Kelly show. Then Gillman could have a contest and Aunt Donna would supervise the planting of a butterfly garden for the winner. Also would release butterflies in memory of Mrs. Green Thumb. Also would like to see my series of children's books on the top seller's list.. I'm going to get there by Sharing God's love through my butterflies..
I just completed my 2nd mission trip to the Navoja Indians in Cotton Wood, AZ. This year I caried copies of my 1st book, Miracles in Aunt Donna's Butterfly Garden, read by Laura Bush and shared with her family, to each child. It was a big hit with the children, As I was leaving a group of children passed me and called out, "Good bye Butterfly Lady", will you come again next year? At tha point I had decided that I didn't need to go again next year, but of course how can I not gao again after that goodbye greeting. Yes, I will be going again and of course I have to raise the $2,000 to go. I will be selling copies of my book to help raise the funds and of course would love to share my testimony for a love offering. God has takken me from shy, to his Butterfly and yes, I do wear big butterfliey wings every where I go.
