Life
Hi Ya'll! Has it really been 35 years since we graduated?!! I hope you are all well and happy and I can't wait to hear from you.
Short story long about my life: Married to Roy Welter for two years. Divorced. (Yes, we are still friends!) One daughter, Angela, 35, who is married with 2 young boys.
Married again to a psycho for 4 years. Divorced. One son, Sean, who is 33, divorced with one 5 year old daughter.
Married again to a man 18 years my senior for 28 years. Recently divorced. One amazing daughter, Ashley, 16 years old and a jr. in high school. My guru in many ways!
Sooooo....I'm into the dating scene at my age...who would have guessed! Enjoying my life immensely and living in Winder, GA, near University of GA, with my youngest daughter. As soon as she graduates and goes to college, who knows where I will end up! I'm still working on what I want to be when I grow up!
Career: I spent college years doing children's theatre at and around GA State University and the Atlanta area. I wrote, produced, acted in and directed several theatre shows there and with my own production company.
Also, modelled, acted and did voice-overs for TV, radio, non-broadcast and live productions.
Eventually opened my own talent agency repping models and actors in Atlanta. From there, niched down about 12 years ago to handle just voice-over talent and that's what I've been doing ever since. VoiceCasting is my company. Feel free to take the nickel tour. It is at the dot com with that name.
Currently my daughter-in-law is running the agency on a day-to-day basis and I am consulting. In my spa...Expand for more
re time I am getting my real estate license, as I have more than a passing interest in real estate investing and in distressed properties.
Oh, yes, in the in-between years, I also trained with Robert Kiyosaki of "Rich Dad" fame. I travelled with his group and learned a lifetime of skills and business info in just a few years. We are still friends. Also participated in, wrote and facilitated some personal growth workshops during the 80's and 90's. Studied with or studied the teachings of Sondra Ray, Marshall Thurber, Buckminster Fuller, Louise Hay, John Bradshaw, rebirthing, The Event, David Neenan, method acting with a student of Lee Strausburg's, too many to remember right now.
I now live in Winder north of Atlanta and I've been in Atlanta for 34 years. I'm kind of over it. I need to get closer to the ocean again. I own a condo on the Gulf in Orange Beach, AL and love it there. Snow skiing is a favorite pastime and I do the blue runs with an easy black thrown in occasionally just to remind myself that my life has value! I love to dance and cut up with my friends and family whom I hold very near and dear to my heart. Antiquing, flea markets, and little coffee shops are favorites. So are street fairs, museums, theatre of course, and art galleries. Travel is a must in my life and I've been to London, Aruba, and the Bahamas. There are many more places I want to go before I'm too old to care! I do plan on living long enough to be a burden to my children!
So let's get together for our big 35th reunion and see how good we all look at the age our grandparents were when we were in high school!!
