Donna's Story
After graduation I got my Associates Degree from Brandywine College. A Business Degree in Retail Merchandising. I didn"t know what else to do. I did managed a few stores, before I got married to Ted. I met Ted at Brandywine. He was a year behide me. We Got married in 78, moved into Willowbrook apartments with our two cocker spaniels. During that year I managed Morrows Nut House in center city, while Ted worked at General Motors in Delaware. Something had to give. I quit we moved to Bear Delaware. Maureen Campbell married David Brennan,they live 2 houses down. Maureen and I have been friends since 1968. We lived in Bear for 8 years. We had 2 beautiful children, a girl and a boy. My husband took a buyout from GM,so in November of 87 we were off to Baraboo Wisconsin. What a culture shock that was. There was a Kmart and a Farm and Fleet( who I never heard off before). ed 1 hour from Madison. It snowed every day. The lamp post out front of the house went missing till May. Lucky we were only there till October. We moved to Hudson Ohio, the best place in the country to rear your kids. The public schools were better than the private. The Town Square look like a Rockwell painting. It was the home of Little tyks. Those were the best 6 years of our lives. My husband was so good at what he does Sysco Foods decided to transfer him to Orlando Florida. My kids thought they were moving to Disney World. My daughters High School was across the street from Universal Studios. She worked at Mels. I have to say Gucci High is not a good place to raise kids. Those kids had better cars then mine. Orlando is too superfical for me. Its also too humide. We moved again to a great place. Stuart Florida is a great place. We were 15 minutes to the beach.
