Donna's Story
I received a B.A. degree from UofA in 1970 & worked in Tucson until I moved to Portland, Oregon in 1978. Tho I have loved living in the Northwest & was once certain I would never be a desert rat ever again, my husband & I are seriously considering spending our retirement years in the AZ high country where it is somewhat cooler, but where the sun also shines most of the time. One can stand 225+ days of rain &/or cold winters for only so many years!
Kevin & I have been married for 34 years,we have two sons, a much loved daughter-in-law, & a cuddly,Bichon Frise who truly believes she is the Queen Bee/pack leader for the rest of us! Alas, no sign of grandchildren in the near future as our son/daughter-in-law are both employed by Walt Disney World in Orlando, having the times of their lives. Our younger son is a Microsoft Certified Professional & provides computer services in hotel management here in Portland.
In 1998, I received a master's degree in counseling psychology & worked for 3+ years with victims of abuse and domestic violence in county corrections. In 2002,I went back to being a "domestic engineer" & have remained so since then. I have been very fortunate to spend most of my married life at home with our sons.

y members who have tracked Jones/Lindner ancestors back to the 1600s! No evidence of coming to the US via the famous Mayflower, but searching for all the needles in the haystacks (& sometimes finding one or two)is both very challenging & rewarding. I also love parasailing & intl travel, which has taken me to most all of the Western European countries from Russia in the north, Scandanavia, England, France, Germany,Spain, Italy, Croatia, Israel & Greece to the south, the Caribbean, Mexico and Alaska. Those trips are always "rush here & rush there" to see all there is to see, so Hawaii is our yearly retreat where we just do nothing for 2 weeks. We now are also flying to Orlando 2X yearly to visit our kids.
The DHS Class of '65 celebrated its 40-year anniversary with a wonderful reunion in Douglas in October 2005. About 175 attended, & it was absolutely the greatest experience! For those of you with reunions coming up, be sure to make every effort to attend!
Those from the Class of '65 who aren't plugged in yet with the rest of your class, you can do so by writing your reunion committee (Ruben Mendez, Marilyn (Johlfs) Petone or Donna (Jones) White via Class of 1965 at Classmates. We continue to look for still "missing" classmates and want to hear from you! Also, if anyone knows the whereabouts of any '65 DHS classmate, please let us know how to reach them.
