Donna's Story

okay here is my life: My daughter Brianna Leigh is 8 years old, she is 5ft 2 inches, blue eyes, blonde hair, skinny and very atheltic, and of course smart. As for me where to start, I guess it is easy, I was very much into my life and work before and when I left NY to move to Fl. I became a Massage therapist/ physical therapist. I was a working idiot, I missed out on a lot of things. Then I had my daughter, then my life changed as she was a result of 9-11, She has become my whole world. When my mom died, I realized I really still did not spend the time I should with my daughter as work still came first, then I got extremely sick and knew money was not everything, besides I had what I needed for Brianna and I to live happily and lucky for me My daughter loved me enough to not realize that when I worked the 100 hours a week it was not because of her, at the time I felt I was doing what was best for us both. So now we spend all are free time together, she is wonderful to be around and doing so very well in school, especially after being home schooled for a year. She has adjusted to school and has made a lot of friends. She has gotten rewards for each quarter so far for Honor Roll and not missing a day of school. Making the most of science projects that her teacher would never have expected from a girl. She is into Space. As a proud mom I always tell her she can be anything she dreams of as long as she does very well in school. She also loves to design clothes and rooms, so our home is pretty much how she sees it. And its not bad. But hey I am a mom and of course whatever she does is perfect...hahaha. Sometimes I worried because I decided to become a mom at such a late age, and now I am truly happy I did, I have had my career, and my fun quircky days. So now I have the time to really help her and be a true mom i...Expand for more
n the stands embarassing her..lol now that is one thing I don't think I will do as I hated it when my mother did it. (but not really when I look back my mom really was not that bad. I am truly grateful that I grew up and saw her for being not just my mom but someone I could talk with. we had 12 really good years of being very close, before she died. I grew up. And now my dad and I are trying to get there but its harder for us, but he is a graet grand pa, and that is just fine with me, he loves Brianna, swears the sun and moon revolve around her. He needs to stop filling her head..lol...She is the sweetest little girl and yes sure she is my daughter, but she always worries about everyone else's feelings. She seems to think she is my mom sometimes. whenever I get sad, she is there to put the smile on my face. as you can guess I do not work any more as I am always so very tired my illness gets the best of me at times, but I have beaten the odds, The Dr's said I would die 3 years ago, and yet I am still here, I may not be as strong but once I stopped working all together it helps. I keep trying to figure out what is wrong and what we can do but my case is a freak of medical mystreies or so I am told. No one before has ever had medication just stop working. But hey I never was normal...lol...why start now... I think that about covers it. As you can see my Daughter is my life, as well as our puppy, cat, birds, iquanas, and any other animal who comes to stay with us. We have three sea turtles who come and lay there eggs behind our house, so we make sure they make there trip to the gulf every year. This last year we took them to the other coast incase of the oil spill. and we have a Manatee that we adopted, so we go feed him three times a day down by Florida Power Waters. Take care everyone, I hope You are all well.
