Donna's Story
When I think back to HS....I think of all the wonderful friends that have left us.....each one has left a memory in my heart. Most of them a note in my yrbk. to remember them better by. There IS a happily ever after.....you just have to clear the path & wait for it. Someday it will stroll right down that path.....right to the quiet solitude of the shade under a millennial tree, & maybe you will never know the value of that moment....until it becomes a memory. Donna 1.0 is long gone thank life!! Donna 2.0 has found peace in the spirit & soul of watching karma unfold. We are living in what we have put out into the world. May we all learn to live with peace. Watch your shadow & follow the prism of your spirits.
Last week we lost another mate...Brian Hewitt. The old saying was right HS was some of the best (and worst) days of our lives. But we were alive and we thought it was forever. My favorite thing was to get an orange from Pete Case and then go sit in Lenny Greenia's van (may the universe give his soul peace, another great person moved on) and get high (LMAO we can rightfully say that now.how strange!!!). LOL running from cops and Billy Graham laying on me in the field to cover me up and the day he almost lost his finger getting my comb back for the 100th time....love you Billy!!!! (Maybe I will c u at Jay & Norm's dad's burial this Tues.?) Ed Haussig will be with me!! The park, Lori's house, Rich Nichol's was in my wedding that he bet Timmy I wasn't going to show up for....but Rich was one of the first to pass away....that hurt. Running from the diner....usually John Sciacca saw Salerno or Struthers coming. The smoking area. So much going on....FFA...shop....Dave Freedon in lacrosse and my biggest crush Joel .......Bob Brunet another one gone ..my Bobbert.....may he be at peace.....Frank Dinet picking on me and making me get in trouble in class (another one gone hopefully laughing and smiling right now like he always did) ALWAYS passing me cartoons he drew me in the hallway. So as I sit here...minus my son (God hold him tight til I get there) and with my wonderful daughter......remember...watch your shadow and follow the prism of your spirits......listen for those we loved way back when.....they are here.....because life really is short I missed my op with JL....and life keeps score.....none of us gets out alive...so put your best out there. You get back what you put into life....it's all in how you live......memories can bring us comfort and we can learn from them.....they can bring us laughter....and they can bring us lessons learned....so watch your shadow of the past......and follow those spirits ahead of us...remember the people you started out with....they were real....we lived in groups....now.....it's all a race for what have the people I know now have to offer me??? Always looking over your shoulder ......playing the wheel to win the prize.....follow your soul, listen to your breaths......watch your shadow and follow your spirits!!!!.......sounds crazy??? Look around....listen, watch, use your mindfulness, who's crazy??? I miss the innocence of feeling immortal......I spent a week in a coma...my son spent a month and half in a coma.....he woke up with a prayer.....I woke up in fear of the world but with a love for reality of the earth .....and a paralyzing fear of humanity.....I put all the good I can out into the world.....I watch my shadow.....i follow my spirits and listen to my soul.....eternity is forever.....it never ends... Thank you everyone i knew in high school....i learned SOMETHING good or bad from every one of you....more than i did in all the years in between. Thank you for my start in what was to become my life. I wish you all safety and health. HS was the learning,i think the years in between were the lessons and these winding down years were what we put into life.....we either won the prize or the kizmet......we spun the wheel......i wish you the prize.....but keep a watch on your shadow and follow your spirits....its never too late for the brass ring on this merry-go-round!!!!!
