Donna's Story
I am from Aurora, Colorado and still lives in Aurora. My schools include Crawford Elementary School, West Junior High, Aurora Central High School and Parks School of Business. I am now retired. As someone recently said to me, the flew under the radar, I also did through school. I wasn't active in any school activities because I worked through high school.
Life has taken many twists and turns. Most of my working years were spent in accounting although I owned my own company Greeting, Inc. which was a small home based company. I had been working with an advertising company that worked exclusively with the drycleaning industry. We had a birthday club that we managed for our clients. The owner of the company gave me the opportunity to take the birthday club and develop it into Greetings. I was fortunate because my Mom had retired and was willing to help me. I did all the computer work and my Mom did the stamping, licking and sticking.

any. I never had considered working in international business, but found it very interesting.
Over the years I worked for several other companies, mostly working in the accounting area.
I was adopted as an infant and in 1991, was able to find my birth mother's family. Unfortunately my birth mother had passed. In 2017, I was able to find my birth father using the DNA test through Ancestry.com. He too had passed. My adoptive mom was extremely supportive of my finding my biological family. I wish my Mom would have been alive when I found my birth father as she always asked me where I thought "George" went.
If you are reading this and you are from the class of 1969, I hope you will consider attending the 50th reunion. It has been an honor to work on the reunion committee. For those of us working on the committee, many memories have been remembered. I hope everyone that attends will have many more memories to go with them. A friend confided in me recently how much he regrets not going to his 50th reunion. He had a lot of reasons for not going, but now feels he loss out.
