Donna's Story

How in the world can one tell in 20050 characters what has happened to them in the past 40+ years? I married a couple of physically abusive men; then realized it was not the men that were my trouble, but myself that was drawing these men to me. I made a change in myself. I birthed 6 children. Most of the time I raised my children as a single parent. While I was doing this I worked 2 and often 3 jobs in order to support them. It may not have been easy but it was my life and I appreciate being given that. I had several different job descriptions ranging from waitress to underground coal miner (waitress is much harder!). The majority of my work years however, were spent in the mental health field. I no longer work as I am disabled from fibromyalgia. I have several other health related problems but I am not going to write about them. As a "drama queen Pisces" I struggled with religion for many years. I was always looking for the faith that "fit" who I was. Of course I tried the traditional Christian churches, then Buddhism, then a charasmatic Christian church, then the Native American path. I found that the closest one to feeling right was the Native American path; but even that was not "right". I have studied alternative healing pr...Expand for more
actices and am a Reiki Practitioner. Along with this I also work with crystals and gem stones, as well as herbs. One evening as I was working with crystals it was revealed to me that my past heritage was that of a Pagan. My grandmother and my mother both transitioned at very young ages, but looking back I can see that they passed the traditions of the "old religion" down to me. Please don't mistake this for Wicca or Witchcraft. Wicca has rules just like churches have rules. I am an old hippie and am too stubborn to follow rules and regulations now. As a Pagan, my worship is that of the Earth and all that She has given to us. Perhaps I have given enough of me. Please let me know who you are and how you have evolved. ~Donna The following information is from Story Wizard: Mindful Meditation is how I choose to relax. I also enjoy teaching it to others. I have learned that when they become adults and move away they move back in with you over and over again.. My current age is 60. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be hating pizza, hot dogs, and hamburgers (if they were still alive). I was so completely crazy!. I am currently making soy tarts and aroma bead bags. I sell them at craft fairs and am trying to get my website running.
