Donna's Story
I grew up in West Paterson, NJ and attended St. Philip School in Clifton, NJ from 1963 - 1971, Passaic Valley High School from 1971 - 1975. I graduated from William Paterson University with a BA in Psychology, while working in NYC as an Executive Assistant for Chase Manhattan Bank. I was married to Robert Strobel in June 1982 and moved to Yorba Linda, CA in 1983. I had my first daughter, Stephanie, on August 26, 1984; followed by my second daughter, Julie on April 22, 1986; and my son, Michael on February 19, 1988. We moved from Yorba Linda CA in Southern CA to Davis, CA in 1990. My children attended a Spanish Immersion Program school while in Davis, and I started a preschool program and was the director. In 1996, we moved to Kingston, RI for my husband's job at the University of Rhode Island, where I went back to school and graduated with an MS in Human Development, with a concentration in College Student Personnel from URI. the career services office at URI and we then moved back to CA (northern CA outside SF) in 2001, for my husband's job at California State University, Hayward. I worked as an academic advisor/outreach counselor for CSU for 5 years before getting a job at the Judicial Council of CA, Center for Families, Children, & the Courts in San Francisco where I am currently employed as a Court Services Analyst. I have one grandson, Isaiah who is 7 years old and lives with his mom Stephanie and his aunt Julie. My son Michael and his wife, Ashley, were married in September 2013, and had twins in July 2015 - Leo and Olivia. I am recently divorced (2013). My mother moved out to CA from NJ and currently resides with me in Livermore, CA.
I currently work at the Judicial Council of California in San Francisco as an Analyst where I am a project manager on several different programs within the collaborative court arena. My main focus is youth, youth courts, and juvenile courts.
