Donna's Story
Life
I went to Bowling Green State University after graduation from Medina High School and majored in Education. I taught Learning Disabled kids in Bellefontaine, Oh and then taught at Ella Canavan in Medina for a few years before I got married in 1979. I have been in Burton, OH in Geauga County ever since. I currently teach at Burton Elementary School. I am married and the mom of two girls, ages 18 and 16. I got my Master's Degree in 1988 and recently became a National Board Certified Teacher. o travel and spend as much time as I can in Arizona and at our cottage on Middle Bass Island in Lake Erie. I would love to hear from some "old" friends!
College
I began my freshman year at BGSU in 1976. I lived in McDonald East for two years and then in Offenhauer. I majored in Education and received my BS in 1976. I met my husband, Chuck Bixler, at a party in Offenhauer. We were married in 1979, and celebrated our 27th anniversity this summer. I my Masters in Education at Lake Erie College in 1988.
