Life
I opened my own business over 4 years ago as a Consultant and finally found my forte(better late than never)! I work with not-for-profit organizations in New York and Virginia (via telecommuting) as a Grantwriter and as a Publicist. This is most interesting as it brings me into contact with individuals in the public and private sectors, presents challenges which require alot of 'creative thinking', and allows me to assist o...Expand for more
thers. To date, I have specialized in organizations serving children and adults with special needs through the use of horses (therapeutic riding and Special Olympics).
I have also been in a wheelchair for over 15 years and, believe me, it is not the end of the world! In fact, this allowed me to become much more open and forthright, and gave me many opportunities I would never have realized. So, hang in there - and enjoy life!!
