I have a one month membership until Oct. 20th. so if you would like to write to me, I can read your emails until then (unless you have a membership, then I could still read an email after that date.)
We had a record hot summer here, a slight drought which is nothing to compare to California's drought! We really feel for Californians! And we're suppose to be in another drought this summer.... WA usually shares water with CA. Then, a person reads about floodings elsewhere in the USA and the world.
I was planning to attend the reunion, but that didn't work out for me. Those who attend have a good time! I can't believe it has been 40 years! I'd like to hear from classmates, please write.

With our upcoming 40th class reunion, I thought I'd get another membership but my visa gift card expired so I'll be waiting for a replacement before I join again. Was planning on attending the Reunion, but now that they changed dates... that may interfere with other plans. Nice hearing from classmates & friends over the years!

I learned in Nov. '12 if one person has a membership to Classmates, and sends a message to another Classmate who does not have a membership, you can still read the message. Boy! I was surprise and it was nice to read my mail.
I signed up for a three month membership today so I can read some old mail sent to me. Nice to hear from old friends and aquantices... hey! no spell checker here. LoL

I am no longer a Gold Member of Classmates, so I cannot read who signs the guest book anymore.
Dec. 2010 Another season of Holidays ... mixed feelings about them with the passing of my spouse. But Christmas is such joy that our Savior was born!! (Ok, so it is supposely really in April.) I worked at the General Elections at the Poll and of course, it was busier than this past August. I also worked at the office in Oct & Nov. === we opened the ballots, sorted etc. At the end of Nov. there was a recount between two candiates! So we were called back in to work! The Auditor was there every day and we said our sworn pledges about being honest & doing the ballot counting corecctly AND we said the Pledge of Alliance every day. Now I haven't down the Pledge of Alliance regularly for many many years!

I worked at my first Poll Election this past Tuesday and it was an interesting experience. Many, MANY dedicated people work at the poll elections for decades... it was amazing! And the rules and paperwork with its checks and more checks to make sure the votes are ...Expand for more
counted correctly and arrive safely back to the Auditor's office for the election vote counting. We had fighter jet pass over our building & the sonic boom sounded like an explosion in the rattled building. Made the day lively with comments all afternoon. Our Pres. Obama was in Seattle and some sea plane was in the No Fly zone.
It has been almost year now that my husband passed away and it is still difficult to say... Our girls and family/friends has been terrific. It has helped me so much! Especially my friendship with Jon and Peggy Erdmann ... Peggy and I have become good friends this past year.

"Kids?" Yes, we have 3 daughters and one granddaughter who is our delight. It's good being a "grandma."
It's funny-- as middle age is here, I think more of my parents and how I am becoming more like them and my relatives. But, I'd sure like to be 25 again! But, that would make 2 of our daughters older than me! And we wouldn't have a granddaughter to spoil.
Our middle daughter graduated from college in June 2005 and our youngest daughter graduated from high school the following day. She will be attending college now.
I work part-time for a real estate company. I enjoy flowers and having a small veggie garden, and having the girls call our back yard a "park like-setting." That just means they want to hold the bbq's at our home! We enjoy the kids and having family get togethers. Pretty simple life, but we seem to keep busy, and have some fun. We like watching each new "Survivor" show, and watching movies together.
School
It was so long ago! NO computers! How did we ever finish high school with out having a computer? My typing class had the "new" electric IBM type writers -- that was the big "wow" back then-- no manual typewriter for me! Stone age.
College
I went to Chabot College one quarter, then I moved out-of-state. After marrying and having children, I went back to college in 1997. I am so glad that I did. I met some really wonderful people while attending college while learning about law, math, english, science etc. I really enjoyed it. And I could help my daughters with their fractions! As well as when they attended college, I had knowledge to help them apply for financial aid, and (some) teachers to take classes from or not.
My Mother lived in the same home for 48 yrs... and my husband & I have lived in the same home for 22 yrs. It doesn't sound very adventures but our daughters like it.
I find as my family is passing on that I am reaching out more & more to my out-of-state cousins & relatives & classmates. I guess as we get up & over the 'hump' in life, we go back to our beginnings!
Now we had the shock of our lives ... my husband has stage four cancer. He's been going to doctors for almost a year and had MRI, CAT scans, specialist etc. He even passed his yearly exam in May '09. We are so heartbroken.
