Donna's Story

Life I was born to a military family and moved around a lot as a kid. Born in Honolulu, HI; I have lived in Virginia, Connecticut, South Carolina, California, and Florida. I was thrilled to complete four years of High School all in the same school. I married young, had a baby, got a divorce, and remarried and had my other daughter all before the age of 23. Still happily married to my soul mate for 26 plus years, we are now grandparents of one granddaughter and three grandsons. Really, if they had told me they would be this much fun, I would have had them first. I also agree that grandchildren are the reason that you allow your teenagers to survive. Career-wise, I have been a registered dental hygienist for 19 plus years and am very involved with my professional association. I served as an officer of the Florida Dental Hygiene Association for the past ten years, Preside...Expand for more
nt from 2002-2003. I volunteer regularly for oral health screenings and teaching CPR and First Aid. I often campaign for and with legislators of Florida to support legislation that allows for greater access to dental hygiene care for under-served populations. I recently went back to college to finally get my Baccalaureate Degree in Dental Hygiene, graduating with Magna Cum Laude Honors.I am currently enrolled in the University of South Florida's Accelerated program to become an RN with a baccalaureate. On to a new adventure! I am also very involved with my church, reading my Bible every day, singing in the choir, and serving wherever asked. I love working with Women's ministries. I truly love my life and am very content. I am very passionate in all that I do so much so that when I do get involved in something, it is full throttle, completely committed, going all out.
