Life As a student at Ector I started in 7th grade and had attended Zavala. I lived on Fall St. just behind the athletic field. My best friend was Chyrel Peevy and she lived in Radio City Trailer Park. We were always together and set our schedules so we often had the same classes. We were in Eciatas and worked on the annual staff as co-editors of the Favorites section for the 63-64 Facula. Our group included the others from Eciatas and friends from Zavala and Chyrel's friends from her elementary school. Odessa was an oil field town and there were always new students. My father worked as a construcion foreman and was with the same company (B&B Construction on Murphy) for over 30 years. We family moved to Odessa in 1947. I left permantly in 1968 when I married Paul, who is originally from Albuquerque. For the past 32 years we have lived in Orange Co. My job for 19 years was working as a placement counselor for a employment agency. Miy niche is placing people in the accounting office of automotive dealerships. I love the work. In October the agency closed and I have since set up my own agency. It is A-1 Personnel Services. We are able to keep the clients because our previous agency closed. Dealerships have high turn over and so we always have openings. Finding qualified applicants is the hard part.
