Donna's Story
Hello to everyone! I only hope your life has been as good to you as mine has been to me. I saw where we each have a "Bucket List" and I guess I've done all the things I ever set out to do. It's not all been smooth but needless to say, interesting... After I graduated in 1971, I joined the Army and was a Field and Flight Medic during Vietnam. I now am proud today to say I'm a Vietnam Vet. I got married after my military service, and had one daughter. My marriage lasted 13 1/2 years and ended in divorce. I left Louisville once again, and headed south...Expand for more
. This time I ended up in Louisiana and made this my permanent residence. Since May of 1995, I worked for the sheriff's department in two parishes, opened up two prisons plus train their correctional officers. I truly enjoyed my job and have "bragging rights" that no inmate ever committed suicide or escaped. As for my old years, I'm now sitting here listening to my arteries harden. My traveling days are over, so there is no way of coming back for a reunion. If and when you guys get together again , take plenty of pictures. Until next time, Donna Norton
